American indie rockers The Decemberists  are about to release their ninth album,  As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again and are playing the Brooklyn Paramount ahead of the release.  Colin Meloy (lead vocals, guitar, principal songwriter), Chris Funk (guitar, multi-instrumentalist), Jenny Conlee (piano, keyboards, accordion, backing vocals), Nate Query (bass) and John Moen (drums) are likely to include tracks from all their albums, with an emphasis on As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again in their set. This promises to be an extraordinary night of original music that concert goers will enjoy and remember.

Join the New York Youth Symphony on their most collaborative event of the season. Led by Director Dr. Kyle Blaha, new works composed by NYYS students will be conducted and performed by students from their orchestra, chamber music and jazz programs.

The careers of many world-renowned conductors, musicians and composers have been assisted by their early experiences with the New York Youth Symphony, including  conductor Marin Alsop  and violinists Pamela Frank  and Cho-Liang Lin .
