Born and raised on Long Island, Song quickly made waves in the music scene, with the release of her 2019 and 2020 EPs Undone and How’s It Going To End? A graduate of the NYU Clive Davis Institute, Song was also fortunate enough to play a month-long London residency for Sofar Sounds and even performed at Lollapalooza Chicago as a violinist and backing vocalist in Pom Pom Squad’s live band.

As she was supported by popular music outlets such as NYLON, i-D and more, Song’s work has even found its place in Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists, and TIDAL’s Rising: Pop playlist.

Having also submitted entries to NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest, this led to the attention of acclaimed artist and songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, which put Song on the map even more so and led the entry being featured on NPR’s “Top Shelf” series. Her latest single “Okay, Okay” released just this month is consistent with her sound as melodic enchanting sounds grace the track, with her indie edge in tow.

More music from Song is coming our way, as her contemplative debut LP ,You Could Stay in One Spot and I’d Love You the Same , is set to release June 7. This is Song’s first official full-length project. As listeners had a tease of what is to come in the LP with “Okay, Okay,” set to be a single off the album, we can be sure to expect more of those soft and reassuring tones that offer a hint of excitable notion come June.

The album is expected to be “ten measured, tender tracks with more live instruments than ever before, the album examines Song’s life and growth during the period of great change that comes post-grad––loved ones moving out of her native New York, balancing day jobs, the ebb and flow of old and new friendships,” as explained by her press release.
