Hinterlands is a genre-bending duo that uses their instruments to explore vibrant terrains of sound and color. Weaving together threads of folk music, improvisation, and songcraft, they draw from disparate influences to create a musical fabric that is entirely their own. Sometimes fiery, sometimes melancholy, Hinterlands leaves listeners feeling that they have journeyed through landscapes of shapes and sound.

After seventeen years of collaboration across multiple states and continents, Hinterlands is celebrating the release of their first full-length album at Barbes.
