Dick Valentine is best known as the frontman for Electric Six, but in the last few years he has been known to play solo acoustic sets both in the US and the UK. He has two solo albums, “Destroy The Children” and “Halloween Fingers” and his set consists of a healthy mix of songs from those albums as well as Electric Six songs done acoustically.Though originally from Detroit, Valentine has lived in Prospect Heights for 7 years and is excited about being able to walk 2 blocks to this gig.

The Jazz Thieves are a group of jazz musicians from Brooklyn, NY. Their music “steals” elements from other different styles of music and brings them to jazz. Like true thieves, they improvise while sticking to a plan, and rely on a “certain set of skills” to help them make music. The band features the dynamic vocalist Matt Robbins, in addition to Ayumi Ishito on sax, Garrett Manley on guitar, Carter Bales on drums, and John Gray, the leader of The Jazz Thieves, on bass.

Loud, sweaty, pretty power pop describes the music of native Brooklynites the Band of Young Saints , while Sunshiner is a group of musicians and friends weaving lyrical melody over ambient guitar and drums, with a thoughtful and simplistic approach to songwriting.
